At Demi Lovato’s worst point, she couldn’t go 30 minutes to an hour without using cocaine. For years, the award-winning musician battled bullying, addiction, eating disorders, bipolar disorder and self-harm.
And she’s made it her mission to talk openly about it and break the silence around these very real problems.
In a recent interview, Lovato told Refinery 29 that her journey is not over. Lovato avoids triggers like partying and instead likes to relax at home.
She still actively works to keep a healthy lifestyle and love her body.
“I’m still underestimated,” she told Refinery 29. “Some people think that because I’m young, I can’t stay sober. But these are things I want to prove to myself.”
Lovato gives the word confident new meaning.
In June, she kicks off her Future Now: The Tour with Nick Jonas.
